Xiaomi Sells 1 Million Redmi Note 8 Phones In One Month
Xiaomi is currently the number one smartphone brand
in terms of shipments in India and this might not change anytime soon.
According to the latest status update, the brand has sold over 1 million units
of Redmi Note 8 series smartphones in a matter of 30 days.
That is 1,000,000 devices sold per month or 33,333
devices per day, which is quite a substantial number. The company has launched
two phones -- the Redmi Note 8 and the Redmi Note 8 Pro. Both models feature a
quad-camera setup with a 48MP and a 64MP primary camera,
respectively.
Unlike the previous generation Redmi Note, the Note
8 and the Note 8 Pro are available on Amazon, Mi.com, and Mi Homes with a
starting price of Rs. 9,999 for the Redmi Note 8 and Rs. 14,999 for the Redmi
Note 8 Pro.
Difference Between Two Models?
Externally, the Redmi Note 8 and the Note 8 Pro
looks identical, except for the color gradient. Both phones have an all-glass
design with a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Redmi Note 8 Pro is powered by the MediaTek
Helio G90T, whereas, the Redmi Note 8 is based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC.
The Pro model also has a slightly larger 6.53-inch display compared to the
6.3-inch screen on the standard model, both featuring FHD+ resolution.
The Note 8 Pro also has a 4,500 mAh battery with
support for fast charging and the Note 8 has a 4,000 mAh battery with 15W fast
charging support.
Which One Should You Opt?
The Redmi Note 8 with a starting price of Rs. 9,999
could be a great entry-level smartphone for those who want a device for normal
day-to-day usage. The Redmi Note 8 Pro offers slightly improved CPU and GPU
performance and it also has a 64MP camera, making it a bit more powerful than
the standard variant.
One can choose between the two according to the use
case and the Redmi Note 8 Pro is definitely our pick.
