Rumors regarding the next-generation Galaxy A series smartphones are rife. While some reports suggest that these next-generation models will be launched in early 2020, there are speculations that the Galaxy A51 might be launched as early as December this year. Now, further details regarding the upcoming smartphone have hit the web.
Already, we have come across several reports hinting at the imminent launch of the Samsung Galaxy A51. The renders of the smartphone showed its design from all angles and then came the Wi-Fi Alliance certification and Geekbench listing. Besides these, even the support page for the smartphone went live on the official Samsung website.
Samsung Galaxy A51 Camera Details
A recent report by SamMobile suggests that the Samsung Galaxy A51 is likely to arrive with a quad-camera system at its rear. The report goes on stating that there will be a dedicated 5MP macro lens, which can capture subjects that are up close. Apart from these, there will be a 48MP primary camera lens, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, it adds.
Though there is no clarity regarding why exactly the company decided to use a macro lens, one reason could be the intention to keep its cost low. Well, macro lenses are relatively cheaper than telephoto lenses. Eventually, Samsung could have chosen a macro lens for the mid-range smartphone. It is also likely that the Galaxy A71 will arrive with a similar camera arrangement.
Samsung Galaxy A51 Rumors
From the previous reports, the Samsung Galaxy A51 is expected to arrive with a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED display and get the power from an Exynos 9611 SoC with 4GB RAM and up to 128GB storage space. It is said to run Android 10 topped with the company's One UI 2.0.
The other goodies that are expected include a 32MP selfie snapper housed within the waterdrop notch on the screen and a 4000mAh battery. As it is said to be a mid-range device as its predecessor, this one is likely to come with a gradient design and polycarbonate body. There are claims that there will be Black and Blue color options.
